I have truly been blessed to travel this summer at a very low cost. It has enabled me to spend quality time with loved ones, my best friends and especially with my clients. Fortunately the majority of my clients are in or around the same vicinity of the cities I have been visiting.
I absolutely love my clients – REALLY. Not just because without them I would have to find a job, but because they are my inspiration too. I love the connection when we have common goals, their success is my success. We bounce ideas and trends off of each other and they value what I have to offer. I value their confidence and trust that has grown through time. There IS something magic that happens when we have some face to face time. It has been time to truly focus on the items that have the highest priority.
Don’t get me wrong, I strongly believe hiring a Virtual Assistant is the best solution to solopreneurs and small businesses when there are daily tasks that need to be completed for any business that is not always revenue generating. At the same time, we enhance revenue generation when we provide our services through marketing support. Technology allows us to achieve any administrative tasks – virtually.
At the same time, there is definitely something to be said when you can spend time working together face to face. It’s a time of bonding and energy that we seem to get from one another that makes that time so special. It has re-energized my inner being to continue to strive and sometimes struggle to stay afloat in business. It’s that personal touch, those kind gestures and words that make that one on one time so valuable.
I have a few other clients that I have never met personally, and I enjoy working with them as well. I just hope the day comes and time permits that I get an opportunity to spend quality face to face time with them as well. I have had potential clients tell me they want someone local – which I definitely respect. Two of my clients hired me originally because I was local. Once I moved, we strategized so that we could continue to work together and it has gone well. The time we spent locally definitely helped our trust and confidence grow.
Don’t let geography get in the way of hiring someone that can truly fit you and your business. We all want to be successful and have opportunities to travel. Who knows, we may be in the same city for business or family and have the opportunity to meet. The work will be completed in a timely manner regardless of the location.
