Everyday and throughout the day, I get emails, read blog posts about the magic of improvement, growth, key to success and how this one or that one can help me achieve my goals.
Is it me or are there ALOT of GURU’s lately? Are they marketing to me authentically?
I am GURU’d out.
The one thing I DO know…and no one has to tell me, If I want my life to improve…it begins with me and how I think. I definitely get the power.
I then open up to determine who resonates with me. Who is going to inspire me when I trip and fall away from my intentions?
What do I need to do to stay on the focused road? Am I being authentic in my marketing? What’s unique or different that is going to push me or you to say YES, I want to hire you?
Each of us are individuals and unique in some form or fashion. For me, I know that I am unique, but how does one express that through marketing and come across authentically vs. the same as everyone else? What is my truth?
I remember when I decided to start my business six years ago I began searching for tips and resources to learn more about marketing, websites, and whatever else is required to be successful. It was so overwhelming I had to decide on one company to follow. I bought their products, learned what I wanted to learn, and moved on.
These days – it’s more overwhelming. I continuously seek education through tips, tricks, resources, etc, but it is difficult as ever to figure out who is the best.
I suppose it’s the sign of the times and more people are in business now than ever.
Twitter is one of my favorite places to learn about businesses, but if all I see are links and words that are self promoting, I visit their website and I don’t feel the authenticity – that is disappointing. Facebook is great. It provides more of an opportunity to truly learn about a business. Some show themselves, but there are still those that just don’t get it…sell, sell, sell – I skip them. LinkedIn – is business – business – business. I accept that about it and open to exploring the business first. I then join the groups to find the authenticity – it works for me.
How do we find our truths AND uniqueness?
- Determine a style..each style is different when we are authentic in our own truth.
- Be consistent in our efforts to attract more business.
- Be Present-focus on ONE thing.
- Be consistent in the organization of life AND business.
- Be consistent in taking care of oneself.
- Step up and and be vulnerable to the truth. The answers will come.
- Be honest…don’t promise what can’t be delivered.
- Learn from others.
- Practice, practice, practice…we can only get better or try something different.
Don’t get me wrong…I am not saying I have all the answers – but I am open to trying. My business is a work in progress – a new journey is always evolving. How can one grow without opening up to the possibility of growth?
I am grateful for being a part of the Ultimate Blog Challenge. This challenge is forcing me to examine my real truth, uniqueness, and what I bring to the table. I believe it takes something of this magnitude to enable one to open, examine, and let things flow as they are intended – as long as those intentions are positive and without reserve. (Note: It’s not too late to join us – I am loving the bloggers I am meeting – an added bonus)
Another tip: I found a nice post about writing uniqueness that has been a nice inspiration!
What is your truth and how do you go about perfecting it? I’d love to receive your advice…
