Are you overwhelmed with trying to get everything done? Managing social networking, marketing, researching, responding to inquiries, time with clients, and so on….is overwhelming.
Overwhelm seems to be the norm for many of us. There is so much to do, but not enough time to get it all done. We are always reinventing ourselves to grow our businesses – we keep doing so that we can keep going. We have no choice but to prioritize and delegate.
Plug into your energy – Don’t Stop
Are you a energizer bunny, but that battery seems to be running down? How do you re-energize?
First things first…
- How we feel about what we are doing drives how we respond.
- How we feel reflects in everything we do and attract….do you agree?
Another way to say it is how we “think” about what we are doing drives how we respond.
If you are spiritual or believe in the power that our thoughts determine our outcomes then you know. We create our reality so why not create what is authentically who we are.
When overwhelm is consistently the call of the day, do you stop and wonder if this is truly what you are supposed to be doing? Are you procrastinating because you just have too much to do?
If so, breath and make a list of what’s priority.
“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”
~~Martin Luther King, Jr.
Life is always in session.
Our support system is important. Those that surround us are contributing or sucking up energy…let go of the energy suckers.
I have a client that is at least 20 years older than me who has quite a bit of energy. Matter of fact it’s difficult to keep up with him. He is a fast thinker, a mover, a shaker and every time he slows down to talk to me and share what’s going on in his busy life, I become inspired.
I have learned to listen, read between the lines and be patient. He will let me know what he needs and/or provide feedback on a project as soon as he can. After all it’s all about him – right. Our positive energy helps and encourages each other when times are more stressful.
Ask for assistance. You may not think you can afford it, but you never know what a person is willing to negotiate.
Be of service. You have a gift, share it willingly.
Be steadfast. You believed enough to start..hold on..wipe yourself off and re-energize.
Be positive. Sometimes things come along that throw us off, causes a serious distraction – Rise Above It.
Who’s listening? Evaluate your market, are you listening or just missing the message.
Meditate. Sit quietly, breath, don’t think, let your internal energy take over.
What’s different now? Why have things slowed down or changed other than the fact the economy is playing a role, what are you willing to do differently?
Make time for self. What’s that you say? We have to nurture ourselves first or no one else will receive the best of us, we’re too tired or stressed.
These are only suggestions that I am working on for myself and hope that they help at least one person as well. I do believe that this path is the path for me. Writing this and opening myself up to the possibilities is removing some of the stress and doubts.
What motivates you to take that next step? What suggestions do you have…quit holding on to it share..I need to know! 🙂
