Quite often my friends and clients contact me for various things…often advice.
My friends will ask technical, internet, software types of questions because I am a low-level addict to the computer and often I can provide quick tips and suggestions.
My clients, will seek advice, opinions, and research, because they know I am always seeking new knowledge for quick, innovative ways to make and save money.
Here are ‘3’ tips of some of those things that I often take for granted. I thought I’d share and hopefully it may help others.
Did you know… You can send a file via email to places like Office Depot and Office Max to have it printed vs. carrying the file in there on a CD, or flash drive. This can be a convenience when the drives don’t work or to save time. Another scenario could be you need to print a resume or an important document, but you don’t have a printer?
- Maybe you have a printer and it’s out of ink.
- Maybe you have a printer and ink, but you don’t have resume paper
- Maybe the document is for marketing and you need several high quality copies
Call your favorite office store and see what arrangements you can make..Normally they will process it rather quickly.
Did you know….. There is a free tool that can be added to your website that people can use to schedule time with you without calling? It’s called Tungle.me. I absolutely love it as it syncs with my Gmail calendar and shows time that I am available. There are settings in it that you can customize to your liking. Another tool that saves time.
Did you know….. You can use logo software to create headers for websites, buttons, and other images that you may want to create in a particular size. The sky’s the limit. I created the header for this blog in my $40 logo software. There are many font choices and easy to use. If you have some creativity, you can save time and money to create unique items with this software.
Did you know…. There is a plugin for a free ecommerce shopping cart that works with Pay Pal?
- WP e-Commerce Plugin – is a free bolt-on shopping cart that lets customers buy your products, services and digital downloads online. There are several options in the settings and it is pretty easy to work with. This has been one of the easiest shopping carts I have ever worked with. This is for WordPress websites…The developers have excellent documentation and videos to help get you started. If you are already using wordpress and now want to sell on your site items such as e-books, jewelry…you gotta try this. Check out the plugin website.
I would LOVE to hear your feedback on any of these tips…please share with me!
