The BEST part about what I do and I have to say the most gratifying for me IS my clients. I have been doing this for about 5 years now and I am very grateful for the clients I have! I love how we interact and support each other. Of course, I love the fact that I can work from home and bring income into my household.
I recently acquired two new clients that have enhanced my skills by requiring tasks that have presented some great challenges. Today, one of my new clients gave me some very positive feedback AND she talked about it on Twitter. That was really cool.
I thanked her for the acknowledgement. She said that she probably should do that more often. My response was that it isn’t something I need and that she did not need to change, but I really appreciated the effort. I am driven to provide the best quality I can regardless of any acknowledgement, that’s just me.
But it did make me wonder, what is the true driver? Is it the feedback received or is it just innate in the drive to always provide high quality. Yes, it’s great to hear and it does motivate to continue to strive for excellence, but I will always strive for my own satisfaction in providing quality services. Besides, who wants to hear that you did not do a good job.
I am curious, Is there anyone that requires feedback? If the answer is yes, why? Yes, as business owners we want feedback to ensure that our product/service is meeting the satisfactions of our clients/customers. But is it something that we require? I am curious more about what we need as individuals to motivate us in providing the services that we offer – is it koodos?
