It’s a new year, things are starting to stir up…This post is based on a true story and some of the signs that demonstrate that the marketing is working. This may not be true for everyone, possibly you will identify with a few of them or try out a few thoughts so that more can occur for you? You have given your customers/clients more than they expect. You have been putting in many hours of planning, networking, and implementing steps to move your business forward. Referrals and new business is steadily coming your way. You are quickly getting a team in place to support all of this new business you have because you just did not think things would happen this fast. Sounds great huh..Possibilities are endless.
1. How did you get here?
You have been working hard! Your marketing strategy inspired you to stay focused on ONE thing, ONE ideal client! Watching this video by Tyler Perry where he says, “plant your seed and believe it. Put all your energy into watering one area. Focus on one thing and make it your priority no matter what”, was motivation to keep pushin’. Energy is up, minds are shifting, and manifesting. Check!
2. Well, How did you focus on ONE thing?
As an entrepreneur there is always so much to do everyday. Writing, research, social media, networking, and so on. Time get’s away from us especially when we are doing what we enjoy and have a true passion for. You decided to:
- Relax..you create time to just be. Sit quietly and feel the energy as it flows, only pay attention to your breathing
- Get rid of distractions. You turned off your cell phone, set a timer and concentrated on one thing.
- You anticipated your physical needs. You planned ahead what and when you were going to eat. You made sure that you did not eat too heavy so that did not disturb your flow.
- Adding exercise in the mix aids in maintaining energy.
- Picked one task – complete that task.
- You intentionally make sure that you don’t stray away from that one task. The more you do this, the more you become focused on that ONE thing.
3. How did people find out about you?
Referrals, your clients are so pleased with what you do for them, they talk about it. Word of mouth is powerful and always a great way to acquire new business. You bartered with a company that allowed you to showcase your products and services which in turn generated more business for you through their referrals. You’ve been building relationships through your social media networking opportunities. That’s great. Gotta love how easy it is to meet people on the internet these days. Yes, it can be overwhelming because there is so much great information out there, but you know that it is time well spent. So you decided to utilize some of those tools you’ve been reading about like Hootsuite, Timely, Facebook and most importantly LinkedIn and your sharing is helping your visibility. Aren’t those groups great on LinkedIn? You’ve been creating a lot of content huh? I have been seeing you some of everywhere lately. I run into you through your blog, other guest post you have been doing, articles and even saw a few comments you have been leaving on other people’s blogs. Wow..you have been working hard!
4. How are you handling all of this?
Not easily, I bet. But nothing is falling through the cracks right? You have a support team in place. You have strategic team members that are responsible for certain aspects of your daily processes so that no client/customer is missed. Each team member interacts and supports each other as they are using your systematic approaches to handling your business. They understand the importance of each member and willing to step up and step in when needed. I suppose as things continue to move along and continue to grow you will tweak your processes to enhance your business so that it will continue to grow; and provide the services/products that your customers/clients have come to love and expect.
5. One last thought – Community
You surround yourself with like-minded people. How about you select your associates and partners carefully? Building a community of people who understand your struggles, your needs and have a common interest is key. Taking it a step further, joining a mastermind group, blogging with others, networking with people who are concerned and willing to share has expanded your knowledge. It’s a beautiful thing when you help each other. Evaluating people in your circle (personal and professionally) – are they helping or hurting? Often non-entrepreneurs do not understand why you don’t have a job and their way of support is not always the energy you need…Stay up!
Is this you? Some of it is me. Things are happening. Planning ahead seriously reduces stress when thing start to occur.
A quote from T.I. (completely surprised me) “Difficult takes a day, Possible takes a week“!
What ONE thing are you focused on? What helps you to focus on one thing? Share so others can grow from your advice!
