I love this time of year…It’s that time when we prepare to spend quality time with family for the biggest, most joyful holidays of the year. I have always loved this particular change of season, the fall is my favorite time.
This is also the time that one evaluates how the year has gone, and plans for next year. Some industries such as sales are putting in the final thrust to get those pending sales closed so the revenue will post by the end of the year.
Now is the best time to hire a Virtual Assistant to help close out the past year and get involved in the business while planning for the coming year.
1. Save money and time
In these economic times, we are all cutting costs. It just may be the best solution to hire a VA. Some businesses are growing now and may need to be more efficient to help the growth. As the year is closed out, there will be several things that need to be completed such as gathering receipts, tracking expenses, research, and putting into action tasks that will earn income next year. If you don’t have an assistant yet, and still trying to make a decision, how much money is it costing you to work on the non-revenue generating activities. What activities are most important to close out the year? What are you going to do differently to earn more income next year?
2. Time for a vacation
With the biggest holidays of the year coming up, are there things that need to continue while you are on vacation? Who is going to take care of that for you so that you can have a “real” vacation. You’ve been working and sacrificing all year. Delegate, Delegate, Delegate – it’s time to let go and work on the relationship/partnership with a VA so that you can take vacation, spend quality time with family and friends, and your business continues.
3. It may take a minute to find the right person, why wait
If you have been thinking about it for a while, you now have to put some time aside to search. There are many great, very skilled VA’s available today…Take your time and do the research to make sure this person will work out for you. Sometimes it doesn’t work out with the first person…but it does take patience and communication to ensure things work out well. My theory is that by the end of that first conversation, your gut will tell you if this person matches you or not.
